BOSTON — Celtics star Jaylen Brown’s father has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed a man during a scuffle in a Las Vegas parking lot, according to jail records obtained by local news outlets.

Quenton M. Brown, 57, has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the alleged stabbing that unfolded at a Las Vegas park Wednesday night, with a “door ding” sparking the dispute, Las Vegas-based News 3 reported Thursday morning.

TMZ reported that Jaylen Brown does not share a close relationship with his father, who goes by his middle name, “Marselles.”

The victim was reportedly a youth football coach, and the altercation came after Quenton Brown had taken his grandson to practice at All-American Park.

According to an incident report, witnesses told officers that they saw two men “challenge each other to a fight,” with one saying the “taller man swung his knife at the skinnier man ‘25 times,’ ” News 3 reported.

“Doctors told LVMPD that the man suffered stab wounds to his back, upper right clavicle area and left hand, plus a broken right rib,” the outlet reported. It added that the victim was in critical condition.

Brown was slated to appear in court on Thursday.

As a professional boxer, Brown posted a 33-18-1 record, making his debut in the sport in 1989.

The incident report on Wednesday’s alleged stabbing indicated Brown was previously arrested in 2016 on suspicion of battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.
