Niall Horan and Myles Smith are releasing a song together.

The former One Direction star has added his voice to the Stargazing hitmaker's moving track about loss, Drive Safe.

Niall shared on X: "Drive Safe with my pal @MylesSmithUK is coming soon.

"Been a big fan of his for a while now and I'm so happy I got to work with him on this tuuuuuuuneeeee! Can't wait for you all to hear it. (sic)"

Myles said: "I had the bones of the song.

"I played it for Niall and he instantly wanted to help me tell my story and really brought what was just an idea to life. Forever grateful."

The Irish star is also busy preparing for the release of his fourth solo album, his first since 2023's The Show.

Niall's imminent return comes as his former bandmates, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, released new music.

Harry has just released the song Aperture from his forthcoming LP Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

And, Louis dropped his third solo record, How Did I Get Here?, last week.

Meanwhile, Niall recently opened up about how he keeps healthy while on the road, including abstaining from alcohol, and the importance of staying "grounded".

He told the WHOOP podcast: "To support a 90-minute arena show with 20 songs, I need to be fit. I can't mess around the way I did when I was younger. On my last tour, I didn't drink for nearly the whole year, and it made such a difference. My sleep improved, my clarity improved, everything.

"Touring is brutal on your body, so I try to control what I can: eat clean, work out, nap when I need to, avoid anything that messes with my vocals. It's not glamorous, but it's what lets me step on stage and give everything.

Reflecting on his career, he added: "We had this thing the whole way through our career, and I still have it now, where we're just happy to be anywhere. I look out at these arenas full of people and think, this would be an empty room if you didn't buy tickets. You have to hold that feeling. If you lose gratitude, you're done. That mindset kept us grounded from day one, and it still keeps me grounded now."
