Patrick Clancy’s new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, and the holdout juror who triggered Lindsay Clancy’s mistrial are both speaking out in the wake of the high-profile legal proceedings in Massachusetts.

Both Clancy and Danis will appear on “60 Minutes” on Sunday, marking their first interview since Lindsay’s trial ended without a verdict. In a preview clip shared to X on Friday, Danis defends her relationship with Clancy, calling him the “the most selfless father and supportive partner.”

“I don’t understand how the story has been so twisted,” she added.

Clancy and Danis got married in New York City earlier this year.

“I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday,” Danis continued. “And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”

Clancy moved from Massachusetts to Manhattan in May 2023, some four months after the killings of his three children: Cora, 5, Dawson 3, and Callan, 8 months. His ex-wife Lindsay was facing murder charges in connection with their deaths, but jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict following her trial in Massachusetts.

Her attorney never disputed the fact that she strangled her children, arguing that she did so while suffering a mental health crisis brought on by a condition called postpartum psychosis.

While 10 of 11 the jurors concluded that she was not guilty, a single member of the panel could not bring himself to agree with their decision.

In a statement to ABC news on Friday, the holdout juror, identified as Michael Desronvil, said he was always confident that Lindsay killed her children, and that she had been aware of her actions.

“I didn’t have any doubts,” he said.

“As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence present,” his statement continued. “Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presents, I thought it was enough proof that she (Clancy) knew exactly what she was doing and planned.”

Following the mistrial, several other jurors have given interviews offering some insight into the conversations that took place in the deliberation room.

“There was times he wouldn’t engage, like he’d be scrolling on his phone while people were talking to him, things like that,” juror Nick Dargie told ABC News of Desronvil.

“He had the hardest time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children,” juror Kellie Farina added in a separate interview with NBC10 Boston.

Lindsay’s fate still remains unclear as prosecutors decide whether to proceed with a new trial.
