Kristi Noem's husband secret life possibly outed by undocumented sex worker
Published in News & Features
The alleged secret life of the husband of former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem may have been made public by a sex worker who’s in the U.S. illegally.
Axios reporter Marc Caputo said on Tuesday that he received a tip in February alleging Bryon Noem was into a fetish known in the alternative lifestyle community as “bimbofication.”
That tip appeared to have been supported by photos of Bryon crossdressing and wearing a large set of inflated breasts. Bimbofication is the act of dressing like an attractive dumb woman and acting out the part.
Caputo said he was unable to speak with the tipster to verify the claims, but gave credit to the Daily Mail, which chased the story and published its expose Tuesday. He said he was aware of another publication that was offered the photos and decided against running them.
After seeing the Daily Mail’s story, Caputo wrote back to the source who’d offered him the “weird lead” he was unable to corroborate. He promised to protect that person’s identity, but stated his intention to reveal the informant as “an immigrant, possibly unlawfully in the country, who wanted vengeance” against the woman who until recently oversaw agencies including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
ICE’s treatment of immigrants was heavily criticized during Noem’s DHS tenure.
The Daily Mail cited three sources in its reporting on Bryon. He allegedly uses the name “Jason Jackson” when participating in online fetish communities. The 56-year-old South Dakotan reportedly told one associate he was aware his wife was having a fling with top aide Corey Lewandowski, but didn’t know what to do about it.
When asked about that longstanding rumor in a March 4 Congressional hearing, Noem dodged the question.
“I am shocked that we are going down and pedaling tabloid garbage in this committee,” she responded.
Noem, who was dismissed from her position at the DHS in early March, was said to have been caught off-guard by news of her husband’s activity online.
Bryon didn’t deny the Daily Mail’s story, but he assured the outlet that nothing he’s said could be used to blackmail his wife into compromising national security.
The Noems married in 1992. They have three adult children.
