'THE ONLY LIVING PICKPOCKET IN NEW YORK'

Rated R for language.

What it’s about: An aging New York City pickpocket finds himself in a pickle while facing his own obsolescence in a changing world.

The kid attractor factor: This is an adult drama, not really for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Sometimes human cunning can outwit the tech panopticon.

Violence: Suggestions and threats of violence.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: This is a drama that won't appeal to kids, but it's fine for older kids and teens.

'CHRISTMAS AT THE KRINGLES'

Rated R for some strong bloody violence, language, and some sexual material.

What it’s about: A new family in the suburbs gets to know their Christmas-obsessed neighbors, whose cheer is hiding something far darker.

The kid attractor factor: This is a horror comedy, it might appeal to teens, but it's too violent for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Trust your instincts, and the neighbors who warn you about the weirdos next door.

Violence: Some extreme bloody violence and attacks, chainsaws, punching, bloody images, etc.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: References to sex and sexual situations.

Drugs: A drug is used in a drink to incapacitate someone.

Parents’ advisory: Too violent for kids. OK for mature teens.
