Jenna Ortega nearly suffered nasty injury after filming Iron Man 3

Jenna Ortega almost "fell on" her face after being left "limping" following filming for Iron Man 3.
The actress was nine when she made a small appearance in the 2013 movie as Vice President Rodriguez's (Miguel Ferrer's) granddaughter, who is a wheelchair user after losing her leg, and Jenna could not wait to start shooting her scene.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the star recalled: "I was so happy to be in a movie, I had been begging my mom for years [before] she finally let me start auditioning. It was one of the first things I ever went out for. Booked it, was thrilled."
Jenna, 24, knew the Marvel film would be a "really big deal" after joining it because her brothers Isaac, 28, and Markus, 22, "knew who Iron Man was".
She added of being on set: "I was sat in the wheelchair all day, and I was so excited to be there. They had me sit on my leg, because my character was missing a leg in the film."
But Jenna's decision not to get out of the wheelchair between takes came with some consequences.
She explained: "I didn't want to move because, again, I was so happy to be an actor and to be a character that I just kinda stayed in the wheelchair all day.
"And when I went home, I was limping to the car."
As she had barely moved her leg all day, Jenna described the feeling as "television static all running throughout [her] leg", which almost caused the Wednesday alum to have a nasty accident.
She said: "You know when your leg falls asleep and it's that weird feeling? I almost fell on my face getting out of the wheelchair."
Despite the mistake of not leaving her wheelchair, she adored being on a film set.
Jenna said: "The fact that I even got to sit there and have that experience and really live in the take was exciting to me."
She spoke to Entertainment Weekly alongside her Klara and the Sun director and fellow Marvel star Taika Waititi, 51, who joked that "Iron Man 3 gave her arterial damage in the leg that she's never healed from".
Jenna replied: "It's never been the same."
