Alaska Airlines requested a ground stop for its entire mainline and Horizon Air fleet for about three hours Sunday night, according to Federal Aviation Administration advisories.

Alaska experienced an IT outage around 8 p.m., the airline said in a statement.

“We requested a temporary, system-wide ground stop for Alaska and Horizon Air flights until the issue is resolved, the statement reads.

As of 9:50 p.m., one Alaska Airlines flight had been canceled and three had been delayed at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, according to the flight tracking website Flight Aware.

At 11 p.m., the airline confirmed the ground stop had been lifted.

"As we reposition our aircraft and crews, there will most likely be residual impacts to our flights," according to Alaska Airlines. "It will take some time to get our overall operations back to normal. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage guests to check the status of your flight before leaving for the airport.
